“We will always try to tailor a solution to all requirements, and budgets”.

If you’ve had a look at our range of services, and industry specific applications, you’ll have an idea of just how diverse our assignments can be. We could be asked to quote on anything from a few, local, aerial photographs of a remote farm building, to a full, urban media campaign, requiring weeks of planning, special permissions, post-production, animations, and music licensing. Consequently, it is impossible to publish fixed universal rates, to suit every project.

In addition to our standard day / half day rates, we have pro-rata rates for smaller jobs. For example, the rates below assume our standard 2-person crew, and up to 5 hours of planning, but a local roof survey of a farmer’s barn might require very little planning, one operator, and no more than an hour of flying.

We can even arrange tailored bundles for estate-agents, tradesmen, and other industries, which may require filming at several properties/ sites in a single day.

“I worked with Whirlyrig on some key establishing scenes on a recent feature film. The footage obtained greatly surpassed any of the other drone companies I’ve worked with.

Alex and Ross are not only professional, but are also relatable and worked in collaboration efficiently with the AD team, the director, the producer & the DOP.

Honestly, I couldn’t recommend Whirlyrig enough. Without doubt I will be working with them again in the future.”

Payment Terms

30 days from invoice, with 30% of the projected fee to be paid in advance to secure the booking. (unless by prior written agreement). Written quotes can be provided once we have received a full brief from the client, and discussed the requirements, expectations, and possible factors that may affect the shoot.

Postponements / Cancellations

Despite thorough, daily forecasting methods leading up to a shoot, and our willingness to work around the weather, aerial filming is impossible in certain conditions (strong wind/ continuous rain). If we are not able to fly as a direct consequence of adverse weather, we will transfer our booking fee to an agreed later date.  If the nature of the shoot means that rescheduling is impossible (live/ special events etc.), this will have been discussed in the preliminary stages of planning, and a tailored, written cancelation policy, pre-agreed by both parties will come in to effect. If the client cancels a shoot, the 30% deposit will not be refunded, and any additional costs incurred by us will be met by the client.

Whilryrig can do the job of a helicopter, jib, dolly, and elevated platform, saving time, money and resources.

We can save tens of thousands of pounds compared to hiring a helicopter.

Whirlyrig can operate so efficiently and flexibly, that we capture more footage in a day than any of the more traditional methods, such as dollys. expensive helicopters, jibs, or elevated platforms.

We can have our system set-up and ready to shoot within minutes.

Whirlyrig mitigates requirement for people to be placed in potentially dangerous situations, such as at height, or in hazardous spaces.

Risk assessments, analysis of location airspace and pre-site and on-site surveys are completed before every operation.

GPS technology and in-built fail-safes in every UAV.

We offer multiple shoot packages to suit you, as well as incorporating standard ground footage where required.

We have highly portable UAV options, meaning that nowhere is too far, remote, or inaccessible for us to fly.

With fully programmable flights we can repeat the exact path of a shot at a later date.

“We offer more versatility than traditional filming methods. We can operate in tight indoor spaces, or outdoors from a couple of feet to 400ft above ground level, as well as replacing jib, crane, and cable cameras.”
