Aerial Photography

Aerial photography not only offers some of the most breath-taking, and inspiring imagery available, but also the most useful. From incredible wedding shots, as only the birds have ever seen them, and portfolio images for tradesmen, to supportive documentary images for surveyors and inspectors, we have the equipment, know-how, qualifications, and creative vision to get the shots you need.

Whether you want raw imagery for your own editing, or a full post-production service, we have the right package to suit your needs.

We can work on live events, indoors and outdoors, and we can add ground cameras, to our cameras in the air, so we won’t miss a thing.

Aerial Filming

Most of our work involves videography for films, episodic television, real-estate, surveys, and corporate projects. But if you have something else in mind, from special events and weddings, to an epic video of your car, and all that’s in between, we’d love to hear about it.

With flying capabilities of anywhere from below eye-level to 400ft in the air, we can truly multitask, doing the job of a dolly, a jib, and a helicopter.

We’re not limited by the standard ‘daylight only’ flight rules which apply to most other operators. Flying at night offers some fantastic perspectives of the world, and our special permissions from the CAA allow us to capture rarely seen shots for our clients.

Don’t be put off if your location has a roof on it. From show-homes, to theatres, stadiums to caves (yes, we really have filmed in caves), and even factories, our specialist drones, and piloting experience allow us to fly almost anywhere indoors.

Need to integrate some ground work with your aerial shots? We can provide cameras on the ground, as well as our cameras in the air. The possibilities are boundless!

… and we love the extreme, whether it is conditions, terrain, or wild ideas, we have the mettle and the tech to handle it. No vehicle access, no problem; we have drone options that can provide the same high quality footage, and fit in our back packs!

On the ground we have the equipment and expertise available to deliver broadcast quality ground-footage, and photography, alongside our aerial solutions.

We have underwater skills to, with padi-qualified divers amongst our team of photographers and cinematographers, as well as the necessary tech and equipment, we can add underwater filming and photography to our services.

Our whilryrigs can do the job of a helicopter, jib, dolly, and elevated platform, saving time, money and resources.

We can save tens of thousands of pounds compared to hiring a helicopter.

Whirlyrig can operate so efficiently and flexibly, that we capture more footage in a day than any of the more traditional methods, such as dollys, expensive helicopters, jibs, or elevated platforms.

Our system can be set-up, and ready to shoot within minutes.

Whirlyrig mitigates requirement for people to be placed in potentially dangerous situations, such as at height, or in hazardous spaces.

Risk assessments, analysis of location airspace and pre-site and on-site surveys are completed before every operation.

GPS technology and in-built fail-safes in every UAV.

We offer multiple shoot packages to suit you, as well as incorporating standard ground footage where required.

We have highly portable UAV options, meaning that nowhere is too far, remote, or inaccessible for us to fly.

With fully programmable flights we can repeat the exact path of a shot at a later date.

“We offer more versatility than traditional filming methods. We can operate in tight indoor spaces, or outdoors from a couple of feet to 400ft above ground level, as well as replacing jib, crane, and cable cameras.”

Zero carbon emissions, and environmentally friendly compared to most traditional methods.

Our pilots are trained and experienced. We carry worldwide public liability insurance of £5 million, professional indemnity, and more. Most importantly we are licensed and approved by the Civil Aviation Authority, a legal requirement for any commercial UAV activities.
